Author says that we as a human beings think that we are thinking but that’s not true, most of the time we are remembering things, we re-live memories, we run through familiar patterns and loops in our minds, author says that we have loop for everything, for fear, for procrastination, for sadness, for dreams, for desires, loop is there for everything.
The author here asked us to imagine a thought loop as this: suppose there’s a pathway laid down by the constant use. Like a way or groove ( a long narrow cut) is done on a rock by water. Enough time, enough intensity and you have got the river.
Author says that if you have a thought in your mind for once, then it won’t have much power over you, but if you repeat that same thought again and again especially with emotional intensity by feeling it, then by this repetition you create the grooves in your mental river, then it will have control over you.

Author says if you don’t do anything, that will be fine, but don’t forget to meditate, meditation is not only good for your mind but also for your body hence always meditate, if not for hours then at least for few minutes, author also meditated for seven minutes, that seven minutes gives author good feelings and also motivates him.
