I personally like reading a lot, reading helps in many ways, I have made many blogs related to importance of reading & why we should read books?, How reading helps you in every aspect of your life, Today I will share one common habit of every successful people, which helped them to grow and move ahead in life and that common habit is reading, they read a lot, they know that reading, learning will help them to improve, and gaining knowledge never goes out of fashion.

1. Warren Buffet

When Warren Buffet was once asked about the key to success, he gave credit to the books, as you all know, that warren buffet is the 2nd richest person in the world and also known as the no. 1 investor,  when Warren Buffet started his career, he would read 600, 750 or thousands pages per day. Even today, he spends more than 60 percent of his day reading.

2. Bill Gates

William Henry gates commonly known as Bill Gates,  co-founder and chairman of Microsoft.  In one of the interview, Bill Gate was asked do he think that reading has been essential to his success, and is it to others.

For which Bill gates replied, absolutely, you don’t really start getting old until you stop learning, he also said that every book teaches him something new and helps him see things differently. He also added that reading fuels a sense of curiosity about the world, which has helped him drive forward in his career and in the work that he do now with his foundation. And Bill Gates also met many of his favorite authors.

3. Oprah Winfrey

As a brilliant businesswoman and inspirational celebrity, Oprah Winfrey can seem like someone who has it all together, but even Oprah win Frey had face confusions and  doubts in her life, in one of the interviews Oprah opened up about her love towards reading and how some of the books and authors has helped her in her career. Oprah famous book is Marianne Williamson’s bestselling guide on improving relationships, work and health by embracing love over fear.

4. Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan also known as SRK, is an Indian Actor, producer, television personality and philanthropist. He is superstar In India, and has worldwide fans, he has worked more than 80 Hindi films in genres including romance, action, comedy. He is also known as king khan of Bollywood.

When asked about reading, Shahrukh Khan says,

I read anything and everything, I read three to four books at a time, I go to bookstores when I am in London or America. I get a coffee and keep browsing for hours, something I can’t do in India, I come back home with a bagful of books. I am always stopped at customs as they think I am carrying some heavy electronic items.

5. APJ Abdul Kalam

APJ Abdul Kalam was a scientist, teacher and writer and also served as a 11th president of India(2002-2007). When asked about books, APJ Abdul Kalam said,

6. Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is an Indian actress, singer, film producer, philanthropist and the winner of the miss world 2000 pageant. One of the India’s highest paid and most popular celebrities, Chopra has received numerous awards, including national film award and five film fare awards she is also honored by Padma Shri. And Times named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Her love for the book is so much that, that she says if she would be given a choice between reading a book and buying expensive clothes, she would definitely choose to read a book.

7. Mark Zuckerberg

Facebook CEO MarK Zuckerberg says that BOOKS ALLOW YOU TO FULLY EXPLORE A TOPIC AND IMMENSE YOURSELF IN A DEEPER WAY THAT MOST MEDIA TODAY, “ZUCKERBERG WROTE ON HIS PERSONAL FACEBOOK PAGE.

He also added , I am looking forward to shifting more of my media diet towards reading books. He also started the A YEAR OF BOOKS book club, in which he will discuss the books that he is reading with the members of the Facebook community.

8. J.K Rowling

J.K Rowling writer of the very famous book Harry Potter, she started her writing career at the age of 6 when she wrote a story called Rabbit, at the age 25 she thought of writing the very famous book harry potter. J.k Rowling (Joanne Rowling) also known as a girl who grew up to write harry potter.

J.k Rowling grew up surrounded by books as her parents loved reading- she says, “ I lived for books, from the young age she wanted to become a writer, she had a burning desire to become a writer, in an interview when asked who  her favorite literary character was as a child and as an adult, the answer was the same: JO MARCH FROM LITTLE WOMEN.

9. Barack Obama

Barack Obama, first African American who has served as president, he previously served in the U.S. Senate Representing Illinois From 2005 to 2008 and in the Illinois state senate from 11997 to 2oo4.

Barack Obama is a major bookworm, in his book “Dreams From my Father” he reflected on his lifelong love of literature: Obama says” when I wasn’t working, the weekends would usually find me alone in an empty apartment, making do with the company of books.”

10 Mahatma Gandhi

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, more fondly known as Mahatma Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi has always been a very prominent figure in Indian history. Mahatma Gandhi was a voracious reader, he has read books almost on everything during his time spent in jail – he has read related to Islam, Christianity, health-hygiene, Hinduism, childbirth, about Hindu philosophy, about American prohibition and many more.

He was very much fond of reading books. His bookshelf was a list of classics, he was very much fond of reading.

  1. Bhaiya, I am a student of class 10th and a huge fan of books related to robotics, computer science , self help, financial etc. (approx I have read 400 books ).

    But my family members and teachers always used to criticize me and say that I will ruin my carrier and I can’t do anything in my life if I keep reading such books said that I should only study syllabus books as every time I used to score merely 80% .

    So, please suggest what should I do Now. You suggestion may change my life!

      See, you have lot of time to learn new things related to your interest.find out some people who already doing what you want yo do.ask them about that.
      Robotics has huge advance future in india.
      Don’t worry about what others say and think about you.you just follow your Dreams.sit with your parents Talk to them what are you interested about.they will definitely help you.

      1. Hello Vikas vaiya you’re doing a great job… I’m a student of class 8th and want to be a Robotic engineer …even..I’am studying hard for my 8th exam cause when I’ll do good result in 8th then I’ll choose science :’) my English speaking is weak . So sorry if I said any wrong thing… :’)
        I’am also trying to start reading books and I do but not so much ? but I’am going do :’)

Hello, Vikas my name is Aniket Gond my interest is to explore computers and build apps and websites. this problem also happens to me. as I tell my mom to buy books but she says to focus on your syllabus and at last, I didn’t get books to read, but I read ebooks, I always try to find new income sources to earn money actually. sure I will give a response to my mom after fulfilling my dreams.

  2. I admire this. I would love to add one more huge name here and that is Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. He read unbelievable amount of books in his life. It is hard to believe but a fact. I would be glad if you had added this name as I am a big fan of him and inspired by his life journey.
